What's the worst about ESO so far?

Post » Mon Mar 03, 2014 9:59 am

I'm curious to know. What fails about this game? This isn't a flaming thread, or that game is better than this game, etc. It's constructive criticism as much as it can be.

Whether it's game mechanics, graphical content, quests, overall impressions. What bugs you about ESO?

For me personally, is that ESO isn't that much different to what I've seen before in the genre. It's still just going from A to Z doing remedial quests, gathering, crafting then PvP. I somehow expected it to be more than that, different. It's not. The graphics is great, the sound is awesome, all the characters has voice overs so yes it's overall a very polished game. But there is something else missing and I can't quite put my finger on it.

For you, what's the worst about ESO so far?

I've played quite extensively these past few days, and my number one problem (that wasn't a bug) is storage and bag space. Mainly crafting mats take up the majority of the space, and this leads to having to run back to town way way to often. Limited Bank space that is "shared" between all alts needs to be easily 10 times the size it is now. The more alts you have the bigger the problem is going to become.

The sub fee.

It's really the only thing stopping me from dumping the entire contents of my wallet onto Zenimax.

Bag/bank space (and price of upgrades). Lack of cosmetic functionality. Price of horse. Requirements for trade (50 member guild/capturing a keep/shopping in Pvp).

Horribly unbalanced mobs, ridiculously touch bosses even for low-Level quests.

Combat feel and synch.

Enemy line of sight issues, their spells, attacks, arrows going through solid objects you should be able to dodge behind.

Enemy attacks cause movement penalties to the player the more you are injured, yet they still come at full speed right down to the very last sliver of life.

Jumping animations, ugh. it should be quick tap of the space bar, little hop, long press on the space bag, actual jump.

Character creation needs more options, hair styles, hair colors, eye colors, body marking colors.

That is about all for me. I could nit pick about AI but this is an MMO. I do enjoy the game and find more layers of substance every time in.
