Unable to play, stuck on too difficult quests

Post » Mon Mar 03, 2014 11:29 pm

I'm a redguard 10 dragonknight. All the quests that are on my journal are too much hard for my character. I have a full heavy armor and a weapon that does 28 damages, but I am barely able to scratch the enemy I encounter during the quests that I have, and they do to me a lot of damages and kill me easily. I feel like there is something wrong but I don't know how to fix it.

An example:

"anchors from the harbour" is level 8. when I get to the boss (Doshia) I am not able to scratch her, she regenerates easily with those energy balls and I die after a long, exausting, useless fight.

For the glenumbra moors, I have spoken with every mage I can find, but I can't complete the quest.

The blades of the alessian Generals are way too hard to get, I have no chances against those enemy.

Are those quests bugged? Maybe my character is bugged? Should I get a more strong weapon? I'm totally lost and losing my motivation for this game.

On Doshia, you have to kill those bubbles before they reach her. Is also easy to exploit those bubbles, if you have something that restores your health upon kill; the first attack seems to one-shot them.

Some quests are bugged in this beta build.

On doshia, she was easy, just kill the bubbles.

Doshia you just need to kill those orbs before they get to her, and when you do, they heal you instead.

The Glenumbra Moors mage one is currently bugged right now, yes.

I can't really help you on that last one, as I did it completely fine. Make sure you have some heals on your bar, and some CC to keep them away from you.

All Anchors are designed to be group content. However you can't see if the quest is meant to be a group quest or not... Hope they improve that. Ah it was just the quest... yea that one is to kill the bubbles. But the random "rift" things you see are group stuff...

BTW if you find your self at Lv X but all your quests in your journal is lv X+3 or more you have probably not explored the map enough and missed allot of quests.

Uhm, then there is definitely something wrong. I grouped with 2 other players for the Anchor quest, but when we entered the quest dungeon we found ourselver in 3 different instances. We exited and entered agani many times trying different things (like, first the group leader and then the others). none of them worked, so we gave up after a while. If this is a group quest, how Am I supposed to get in with a group?

Btw, thanks everybody for the answers. I have tried to kill the bubbles, but they are too many and completely heal doshia, so even if I try the hardest, sooner or later a bubble slips my attacks and completely heal back doshia, erasing every my effort. I'm really confused on how this quest is supposed to be done.

How current are your weapon and other gear? Visiting a crafting bench and updating those can help a lot.

I didn't get to Doshia until level 12 the last time I fought her, and the poor thing didn't even get to summon her balls. If your gear is current and enchanted, you're using a food buff, and you've exhausted all possible tactics, I'd suggest waiting until you're a little stronger.

I managed to beat Doshia but I tell you it made me break into a sweat and I felt a bit shaky with relief afterwards. I had several attempts at it. It is easy enough to see the mechanic, but hard work to stop any of the orbs reaching her.

Anyone saying it was easy perhaps it would be most helpful to share your build and tactics.

Use your magicka to CC more than to do damage, use your stamina for damage instead.

I did this ony my 1h+shiled templar, didn't had to heal even, didn't saw any orbs or anything, I just spammed ransack and javelin where she got up, also learn to shield bash more often.

Either way this was an old beta build.

We can only hope the next beta session has the new client in place at least.

Doshia was not hard once you knew how to win but Norion was a nightmare until i was high enough level, must of tried 10 to 15 times, kept coming back at a higher level until i did it

I had a world of trouble with Folushu the wereworlf. I went away and did what else I could and went back and kicked his hairy butt two levels later.

I still cannot kill that mage beginning with A who summons zombies. If this was live I would again wait a couple of levels and then go back but I'm out of non-bugged quests in Glenumbra now.

Anyhoo it's only beta and I'll have to do it all again in April so I'm not too worried. The experience I have got in beta regarding learning skills and combat etc has been very very useful.
