Morrowloot (original by Trainwiz) - Where to find What

Post » Tue Mar 04, 2014 3:54 am

This thread is about where to find the awesome items from earlier TES games that Trainwiz placed in his original Morrowloot version 4.0 which can be downloaded from http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/44212/

In addition, we can also include other good or noteworthy items, as finding them is rare as per his description:

Spoiler

FEATURES

+Completely removes higher level (dwemer+) objects from levelled loot lists, though things like potions and scrolls can still be found.

+Adds these back in as static objects hidden around the world, and in logical places for example:

-Dwemer equipment is only found in dwemer ruins and containers,; or by a select few who can afford it.

-Orcish equipment is carried by, get this, orcs.

-Elven equipment can be found in various places, though most are carried by Thalmor.

-Glass equipment is given out to a few Morrowinders who managed to save some, as well as high ranking personnel in various factions.

-Only a few sets of Ebony armor and equipment even exist, worn by nobles and the rich.

-And finally, only a single normal set of daedric armor exists, much like Morrowind, but spread out and is a serious pain to find. You'll have to earn it.

+Higher level equipment may no longer be crafted! svck it up, it's weird that the Dragonborn suddenly gains magical star knowledge to craft insane soul-wrenching deatharmor anyways, and objects may still be improved at a forge.

+Higher level robes are removed, readded to the world as static objects

+While the majority of higher level generic random magical items (such as an Ebony Bow of Bolts) are gone, a few pieces will still exist, renamed and put in other areas. The rest you'll have to enchant yourself.

I propose we add new information with several spoilers, starting with more general ones before getting to the specific one. So not all should be revealed by looking at the first spoiler. It might be cool if you contribute spoilers that use prosaic or immersive language or make riddles of it - whatever you can think of. In any case, I intend to ask moderators to delete posts that provide information without using spoiler tags.

There are at least 2 modified versions of Morrowloot. One is the "Morrowloot - Nwah Edition". Its last update (08/12/2013) was before Trainwiz completed version 4.0 of the original. The other one is "Morrowloot 4E Edition" which came out after the original v4.0 mod. But this thread is intended only for the original mod by Trainwiz with the crafting of higher level items removed. I have not tried any of the alternative Morrowloot mods. Their placement of items be the same or not, I have no idea. In any case, please do not clutter this thread with information pertainig to the alternative mods.

Finally, I understand that not everybody agrees with the things Morrowloot does and whether it is a good mod. I respect these diverging opinions. I kindly ask the same respect from the naysayers by please not discussing the mod itself in this thread, as its purpose is to provide information for players who like Morrowloot. Thank you.
