Ok so with the preorder code pack we get 5 days headstart, but i wont recieve my physical IMP CE till release day, so this means i won't be able to play an imperial, which is what i plan to play so basically i can't play the headstart at all? in the last beta i could not play imp as others could who bought it direct digital from the store, so all us retail buyers have to miss out on the 5 days headstart or play another race we did not plan on?

Where did you see that others were playing imperial if they bought it dd?

Well for example people were riding around on the white imperial horses, if you preorder directly from the game store then they Know you have imperial edition, but retail its just a preorder code you get with every game preorder, i could not buy the imperial horse in game when i went to the stables etc.

I had the Imperial DE, but I couldn't play as an Imperial during beta. I did however have access to my horse.

I read that SOME preorder folks were allowed to play the Imperial race this beta and even got some of the other bonuses. The devs wanted to test some of the features but didn't roll it out to everyone just yet.

The Imperial race was not available for anyone in this beta. As with the last round, people who pre-ordered the digital IE directly from the Zenimax store had access to their horse. That's it.

OK. From what I read on the sticky on the forums about the physical edition, you should be able to play Imperial during head start just like the Digital Edition people.

Oh wait. Im just asking, did you apply your preorder code to your account, or are you saying you haven't gotten your physical box yet with the code to apply to the account.

Sorry but I haven't bought a physical game in years so Im rusty on how it all works.

The code on the receipt is for the pre-order bonuses that everyone gets. The code inside the box, the one you will get on release day, will tell them what edition you purchased and if you receive the extra goodies from buying the Imperial Edition. So, you have to wait till official release to play as an imperial. If you want your own proof go to official ESO website and at the bottom it says contact customer service and ask them yourself. That is what I did and that is what the guy told me. Till the code in the box is activated you will not have ANY of the imperial edition benefits.

You will get full code sent to you with your physical box.

is there actually something in the preorder box you get? (the standard edition) or should I leave it unopened and return it when I buy the full version? I don't really get it lol

No you get the cd and the box it is in, for those that like physical cd and cover but do not want the CE. unless this is what you want then I would get the digital IE since it look like you want that one.
