The Elderscrolls online trailer shows the nord warrior, high elven sorceress and the (breton?) assassin

During the beta I tried to get to the dark anchor situated at cloud ruler temple within the PVP zone in Cyrodill

It seemed to be surrounded by some kind of Dark spike thing (i.e the dark anchor was inaccessible from all sides)

Is this the dark anchor shown from the trailer???

The trailer and beta both were located to be north of the imperial city

I believe so, although I did not see it for myself but I saw pictures online that claimed to be Cloud Ruler Temple with a dark anchor over it.

I dont think it was, it never looked like cloud ruler temple just a massive wall sealing up the cliff side.

But when game is released i must go have a look

Seems odd that cloud ruler temple would be there since the blades don't exist yet

It was probably just a Akaviri Military Base at this point in TES History.

The tower in the trailer is located down the river form the city. The river runs into the Niben Bay. No river runs north of the White Gold tower. That tower is somewhere at the mouth of a tributary east of Bravil.
