Hi guys. I'm looking for a novice hood but don't want to join the college of Winterhold. Is there one anywhere else besides Helgen Keep? If not novice then adept (the brown one). I've tried to find on Google and it mentiones Radient Rainment sells them but they don't.

Any ideas?

One possibilty is you should find it as loot on dead higher levelled mages.

Where you can buy or take one outright, I don't know.

If you are totally desperate for it, you can give yourself one via the console
