I entered Cyrodiil for the first time on Saturday. I was playing a lvl 13 Nightblade and while it may not be the best build for a large scale close quarters battle it was a ton of fun. Joining a big skirmish that your faction ends up winning and then chasing the enemy across the country side could not have been a better time. I absolutely loved it.
Unfortunately I have stuff to do outside of the game and walked away long enough for it to time out.
No big deal right? When I logged back in and loaded the character the game crashed, so I rebooted. Crashed again. I loaded another character and it loaded just fine. Created a new character and it loaded fine. So naturally I contacted support and of course the experience was negative as it seems to be in all of the cases where someone makes a post and talks about it.
The game opens in three and half weeks. I lost the ability to play my main and was unable to get any help at all. I got one reply telling me to do things I had already done. The big question that I know no one here has an answer to is will this be different when the game launches? Will characters that you have spent hours on suddenly become unplayable and support will be unable to resolve the issue?
I pre-ordered when the GMG deal was posted here and for the first time I have had second thoughts, not that I can do anything about that.
