Is there will be a shop were I buy gold for real money?
Is there will be a shop were I buy gold for real money?
im sure there will be gold sellers, there always is
its called a gold seller. I dont know why you would want to though. But if you want to ruin the experience then be my guest, maybe those who buy and sell gold like you will leave seeing they have ruined there experience.
How about you just play the game and try not to gain advantage threw cheating with real life $?
Most MMOs and communities frown on such things (for good reason) and I hope the GMs/Moderators do everything they can to crack down hard on them in game.
I just want to know I am not selling coins or buying
If your asking if there will be a cash shop from what I can tell the answer is no. This game is paid with a monthly sub so they should be making money that way. Having a cash shop is usually done in free 2 play games because the company is not making money from people playing the game. I for one hope very much that there is no such shop considered because that is the main reason I am happy this game is being done on the monthly subscription model. These types of shops ruin games.
Yes, though you have to get an addon to access the gold store...
(that was a joke btw)

...mmmhmmm
also a form of cheating that should be dealt with promptly.Either by doing it the hard way or selling ingame currency themselves
If there's no official in-game shop then it should lead to bans. However, hard way is [censored]. You got to earn money to spend it and that's much harder than playing games .)
yea I hope they will go the hard way actually, though at least if they sell it themselves the game could become better from it..it is still an easy way out and ruins the economy of the game I suppose..or does it?
agree
As long as its not like the gold spam in FF14, Ive never seen it that bad.
To answer the question, no doubt there will be, but dont be lame.
I'm going to say something unpopular - but it's how I feel.
I have no issue with cash shops. Heck, I have no problem with pay-2-win (P2W) as most describe it (which typically comes down to cash shops and ability unlock cosmetic and sometimes non-cosmetic perks for real coin). BLASPHEMY!.... I hear you all shout in unison. GET THEE TO A NUNNERY!
But here's why I feel like I do: Life is one big cash shop. We LIVE P2W in the real world. Your next door neighbor may have a bigger house or fancier car, because he paid for it. You might play a game of tennis against someone who went "all out" on gear, because he could and wanted to. Some are stuck with motels and low-star hotels while others enjoy 5 star (or even 7 star) retreats. Some travel economy class on planes, while others travel first class only or have their own private jet. That is life. Why should a video game be any different?
If I see a guy in-game in a suit of armor or weapon worth hundreds or even thousands of real life dollars, my reaction would be to (1) stand back and admire that awesome rare sight, (2) wonder why he spent all that dough on something that likely just gives him a very small advantage over other end game players - but knowing the answer is probably bragging rights more than anything, and (3) lastly: remind myself never to do that, but not hold it against him. He did it because he wanted to and had the cash lying around. He broke no laws. He did nothing immoral. I might question his judgment, but ultimately... I don't really care. I just don't care. Of course, I say this as someone who enjoys video games for fun - I am not a competitive player. But heck, even if I was - people gain "competitive advantage" over others every day using money, why should games be different?
The way forward for all games is ultimately all about generating supplemental income streams beyond just the initial sale of the game. I think it's inevitable that we'll see pricing/payment models evolve, and more cash shops and P2W infused into games. It will happen - it's inevitable, from my vantage point. 15 years ago, subscriptions models were practically unheard of in the gaming land. And cash shops are an even newer phenomenon taking off all over the place. So I not only find this completely acceptable, I think their evolution is an absolute inevitability. Wouldn't even surprise me if we start to see this creep into ESO. Could even argue it already has - with the Imperial edition. Might even happen with future expansions/races down the road. And that's fine with me - although I'd of course prefer to pay nothing.
