Best bows?

Post » Wed Mar 05, 2014 10:51 am

Alright so at the moment I'm level 11 and getting the elder scroll. But while I'm in this dungeon there are Falmer and I realized that I'll need something better for the next dungeon I'm gonna be raiding. I like use bows. especially if they one hit. but I can smith anything at my low level since I've been focused at dual wielding and magic the whole game. So what kind of bows should be of good use for me at about level 15?

At your level a Dwarven or Forsworn Bow would be decent. But because you're low leveled, I wouldn't expect anything really powerful. Some have gotten lucky finding an Ebony Bow.

If your using conjuration, the bound bow is excellent, powerful as Daedric with mystic binding, if you like the spectral appearance of it. Otherwise Dwarven is about the most powerful at that level range, unless you have DLC that adds others i don't know of.

As good as you can get. Don't be afraid if you need to lower the difficulty. Falmer are pretty nasty at close range. Run if you need to.

Bound Bow, best thing for that level. It's like what... the same as a Daedric Bow?

The mages outside are easy enough to pick off, as you have plenty of options & space to maneuver. The internal ones are tough & tricky, if you use a companion, summon or invisibility potion it's an easier smash & grab.

The forsworn bow is pretty decent, and it has the benefit of tempering with a Steel ingot and the Steel perk. You'll be able to add that at your next level up, if you didn't already. Then just keep upgrading it whenever you can and it will stay on par with the best random bows.

Don't forget: poison will make any bow more powerful, especially if sneaking.

There is an Elven bow in a locked case in Aela's room. Also if you have the skill to take them on, there are two draugr death lords in the dungeon next to labrynthian which have always had ebony weapons on my character, regardless of play through.

They are tough to kill though
