Small problem with Door Teleport Markers

Post » Wed Mar 05, 2014 11:58 am

Hi all  Basically I need a little help with a problem - I recently started a playthrough as a stealth marksman character using just a few mods (Assassin's Abode being one of them), played through to level 30, then decided to download the Better Cities mod. The problem was the Assassin's Abode location conflicted with a building placed in the IC Waterfront by Better Cities.

So, having past construction set experience (used to be part of the Morrowind modding community many years ago under a different username), I decided to open the Assassin's Abode up in the CS and move it out of the way a bit.

So the crux of the problem is that I've moved the Abode out of the way (doors/markers included, I ctrl selected everything before moving any of it), but when i load up a save and leave the building - the save I've been using has my character within the Abode ready to exit - the door models have disappeared from their jambs and I'm unable to re-enter the house. I ran over to the previous location of the Abode and could see the "Enter Assassin's Abode" message when facing where the doors used to be.

Sorry about the long-winded explanation! But any help would be massively appreciated, as I just want to fix this and get back to playing my character as soon as possible :3

Regards

Edit: I also need advice on how to move the map marker for fast-travelling to the Abode if possible.

Edit2: Just realised I made this topic in the mods subforum rather than the CS subforum >.< Can a mod move this if it's no trouble please?

You may need to start a new game in order for your changes to take full effect. It sounds like the previous location is already stored in your save game file.

Oh, hm. I wasn't even aware that could happen if it is the case (though i've forgotten practically everything i knew about modding to be fair). Thanks for the response :)

Anyone have any ideas on what I could do about this? I've made no saves since Better Cities was installed, so if anyone could offer tips on moving the obstructing BC building, or if this isn't possible/would be a massive headache (due to NPC pathing or whatever), what the best course of action would be - even if it's at the point where I'd have to remove everything from inside the Assassin's Abode and then disable the mod - I'd very much appreciate it.
