So, as probably many of you, I have mixed feelings about TESO. I at first wasn't so convinced, but as detailed reviews and screenshots started to surface, my feelings towards it started to change. Now I'm way more curious, I'd even like to give it a try.
But I don't want to fall into the MMO pit again. I usually like the exploration and the other people going around. I'm a social player, so I tend to socialize while I play. I usually enjoy the first month or so of any MMO. Then everything changes when I reach max level, and I've explored almost everything. Only grinding and dungeons remain (grindy dungeons), and elite content that requires even more grind. And as soon as the grind is over, a new expansion raises the grind bar a bit further. Not to mention one time events (a recent trend) that require you to grind them (because they happen only once and you don't want to miss them) instead of normal content. And if you take a month off the game will have advanced without you.
How do you approach an MMO, how do you screen yourself from boredom and grind anxiety?
