Can't seem to break 30 fps regardless of my video settings but dropping my res from 1920x1080 will bring it up to 35-40 but I'd rather play with a full screen.

Using a fresh skyrim install with no mods installed at all. Have my graphics set to performance via the nvidia control panel plus running razor game booster.

Your card is not really meant for gaming since it is a low end card if I am reading that right (I may be wrong). And trying to run it in 1080p is impossible to play with decent frame rates because resolution is a huge factor in FPS, assuming that is the card I am thinking of.

Have you looked into another graphics card?

Well I just bought this machine off newegg for sub 500$, figured I'd wait 6ish months before I tried grabbing a new card.
