This.
Flea markets would be akin to a trade channel where you can avoid it if you want, what we had in the last beta was just yelling, which can get very annoying very fast.
this conclusion come out of nowhere. Because you and them have different view on one thing doesn't mean they have different view on another thing that is entirely unrelated.
I think I'd prefer not to have an auction house than to have one.
Why? Because the inflation and deflation of goods goes into over drive with an auction house, money becomes easy to obtain with flipping and value all round of items just becomes ridiculous.
I'd quite like a similar system to Silkroad Online's stall network, in individual town,s market stalls are listed and players can view it on a list, but they are done locally in towns only.
I just wonder if one town would become overly popular for that intention... so not sure how to get around that.
I would have liked there to be an auction house or even to offer your wares to market stalls in cities for sale. This was also one more factor for me to not bother with the game. As it stands, if you want to sell stuff you have to join a guild and personally im not into those things.

I definitely agree with the trade channel. That would help free up spam.
If not a worldwide auction house, then something other than the current system.
Needing to queue for an instanced, population capped PvP zone in order to go shopping is an awful idea.
Guild shops and no wts crap clogging up channels
FFS even in the weekend beta, last night in Cyrodill people where spamming wts. If they do that in the freakin beta imagine what's going to happen on live?
While GW2 does have an auction house, one thing it did right was completely remove wts crap. People traded via the auction house, period. TBH I hope Zenimax doesnt even allow player trades but I guess a trade channel is a compromise. People are probably going to spam what their guild sell anyway.
I'd rather have a global AH than no AH at all, because trade is necessary and shouldn't be a PITA. But I agree with the 2nd part of Snoggy's post - local stores in towns would be better, possibly coupled with a global listing system so you could see what was for sale in town x rather than having to schlep everywhere on the off-chance you'll find what you need.
