"hide" chest & shoulder pieces

Post » Thu Mar 06, 2014 11:02 am

I am more of the RPG than the MMORPG kind of guy and I really enjoyed creating my characters this weekend, so I was hoping that there would be a "hide" chest & shoulder option offered in the near future. Both of my characters had body tattoos and I thought they looked BADASS, however, as soon as I got a chest/shoulder piece, that immersive feeling was gone. If I want my character looking like a barbarian, it is frustrating having a chestpiece that does not fit with the style. I feel as though it would be easy to implement and it would be greatly appreciated.

I hope this gets noticed and put into the game!

Thanks,
Snowman

Are you familiar with the racial styles? Every single craftable armor comes in 14 different racial styles. You start out knowing the style for your own race, but you can learn other styles from books you find in the world. Items you find in the world might be in any racial style.

Different racial styles show different amounts of skin. If you want to show a lot, try Bosmer

If I hear the word "immersion" one more time, I'm going to friggen die.

It's fine if you want the option to hide armor pieces, but...immersion... /spit

Even if it hides the cheatpiece mostly, the shoulders will always look wonky.

would love the option, easy to implement me thinks. cosmetic options are always nice.

As of this point if you wish to flaunt skin in the endgame only the "Reach" racial design has you covered, and not with heavy armor. Argonian and Bosmer racial designs start off revealing the chest & arms but if the icons are any indication turn to fully covering you up by endgame.

One of my characters is going to be barbarian like too, so I'm hoping a few more options for revealing the chest & arms in gear turn up.

A "Hide Shoulders" option would be probably be a good idea regardless though, big shoulder pads are a bit of an acquired taste.

Only for the guy characters right OP? If it's also for girl characters I request the game be made into open pvp everywhere so I can kill the inevitable three zillion AoC style boobs out bank mules parked at the bank 24/7.

Well that type of stuff is going to happen anyways with the low level Bosmer & Argonian gear. Though if I make a bank character he'll probably look like a skeezy old medieval business man.

But you can at least take solace knowing most of the skimpy gear designs of TES lore tend to make the wearer look like a cave dweller.
