Itemization is boring?

I played last beta up to lvl 14 and itemization was really bad with no variation or interesting affixes I though it is just low lvl it will get better .. items like 15 magicka, 15 health, regen and few other will improve .. I was grinding in public dung and my all items just broke completely and I didnt feel any change how I performed my dmg was still same and survival too.

But then I saw video from lvl 50 veteran dungeon and when I saw the loot it was really meh .. that guy was V10 sorc and he wear items like 40-80 magicka on everything and nothing else ... So do you want to tell me that I will play few months high end pve content just to get slightly better magicka upgrades on items .. really is it all?

Ok I am glad that we dont have clasic stats aka str, int etc its fresh but only one dominating stat (magicka) isn't very motivating to keep playing. Loot should be desirable look at Diablo 2 or EQ 2 items.

Why would anyone wanted play game when your next upgrade of item will be like 10 magicka difference. The weapons are not impressive either that guy has purple staff with 132 dmg on it and didn't use base atack at all and the stats on the staff was not impressive either. One of loot i remember from that veteran dungeon was blue ring with 16 mana regen, really this is end game item? no need to comment the low value but there is stupid soff cap on everything so it will be probably uselless anyway.

Here is the link the pve looks fine to me but items .. meh

I think this is a matter of what kind of stats the game even have that items can give benefits to. If there aren't that many stats (which is ESO's case, compared to many MMOs at least) then the items are restricted to those stats, logicaly. Though it would be nice to see some very specific item stats, like conditional stats and context sensitive bonuses to keep things fresh.

In vanilla WoW, epic items at level 60 gave stats like +7 spellpower. The scaling made sense. With the expansions Blizzard went nuts and scaling got stupid to the point that a level 90 can solo level 85 raids. I prefer this model of scaling, just my opinion.

I'm not sure this is the type of game for you.

Its not about scaling it doesn't matter if item has 20 or 40 magicka its about that the sorc used magicka afixes on all items becouse there is no better option like crit chance, crit bonus dmg, resistance, armor or something more interesting dps stats.
