Need Help, writing a Fallout short story

Post » Fri Mar 07, 2014 4:09 pm

Need help, writing a short story for a competition and I need help making a short story. It's supposed to be about being an individual, but I can't think of anything to write about. I need it to be about Fallout 3 or New Vegas. Will give credit for helping.

Writing for a competition, huh?

My advice is that you write about something that provokes your thoughts. Even if your working in the fallout universe, or by some weird coincidence you have a theme to adhere to, find a subject or idea within those restraints that you have an interest in.

I would also suggest that you just write out your thoughts. Don't worry so much about grammer or spelling. Just get it out. You can always polish it up later.

A problem I found with short stories is the development of characters. A good idea is to create a character sheet but go into detail about his fears, kinds of people they hate, what drives them, etc.
