Dk vs Templar Heal (brainstorm)

Post » Fri Mar 07, 2014 6:28 am

Im trying to make a good healing build for the templar and Dragon Knight. So far I came up with is:

Templar: http://skills.tesotools.com/#2e3j4fs6n8wh0c9

Dragon Knight: http://skills.tesotools.com/#68l7eqil8yeg5re

Templar: Heals:

Regeneration (rapid), always nice to have a HoT in dungeons, in pvp you cant target in mass fights, so it goes 90% to the wrong person (when im grouped)

Healing ritual: This felt as a paladins (wow) holy light spamm with aoe ( Reduced the cost of Healing Ritual for Light Weaver)

Homor the dead: Life saver!

Templar Buffs:

Rune focus: Protection for 15 secs ( Armor and spell reflection) and restores magicka for all players while in the focus

Restoring aura: Increased stamina and hp recovering for allies

Ward ally: Shield me and ally(lowest hp)

Spear shards: Restores stamina and magicka for 12 secs over time (allies)

Cleanse:

Cleansing ritual: Cleanse 2 2 myself in 12 sec, allies standing close enough (circle) can activate it and removes all negatives effects and heals.

1hshield:

Some self proction:

Absorb magic: Increase block migition and reduced block cost by 5% when slotten and absorb spell and heals myself

power bash disorient enemy and after disorient ends enemie does less dmg for 10 secs (pvp)

Dragnknight heals:

Regeneration (rapid), always nice to have a HoT in dungeons, in pvp you cant target in mass fights, so it goes 90% to the wrong person (when im grouped)

Blessing of restoration: Heals and gives allies spell restince and armor

Siphon spirit: Gives nearby allies Hp and magicka on hit ( when its on the target)

Buffs:

Ring of presavation: Armor and spell restistance and gives health regen

Molten armaments: Inc dmg and critical strike chance allies

Ignious shield: Shield allies

Magna shell: allies may activate and granting a powerful damage shield

cc:

Choking talons: immobilize and enemies deals less dmg

Imo: Templar Strong heals (passive Templar class + resto) + good in groups with long fights (buffs) Magicka, stamina and hp regen for allies

Dragon Knight: Good heals (passive Resto) + good in groups to end it fast with power and crit buffs and the shield buffs are cool!

Im really cant make up my mind! Dragon Knight or Templar! I want one as main and one alt!

What are your thoughts? Share me your healing builds pls!

I'd suggest Mutagen over Rapid Regeneration. I used Rapid Regeneration and regretted it, the HPS is marginally better but the duration is shorter. Mutagen's burst heal is also very helpful.

Channelled Focus only works for yourself, it confers no benefit to allies other than what Focused Healing confers. It's still a good tool however, you can't heal anyone if you're dead or OOM.

I think Ward Ally is redundant if you're already slotting Honour the Dead. The shield conferred lasts for a short duration and works best on low health targets (like Honour the Dead), use one or the other but not both.

For a non-Templar healer you definitely need Grand Healing, unless you're plan is to play more support than main healer.

.....

For a healer I'd take Templar over DK. DK lacks inherent group healing (or skills to support group healing), although it makes up for that in group buffs and AoE CCs. But if you just want to play a main healer then any other class is better than DK.

I saw this guy healing in a vr10 dungeon, with 1h shield.. I didnt saw a resto staff yet! This made me think of leaving resto staff behind and go 1h shield and maybe destro staff or 2h!!! For healing!

Edit: Looks like healing ritual and rushed ceremony with some buffs are enough!

Keep in mind that Templar has very few ways to restore magicka/stamina, meaning it will run out of steam pretty quick. DK at least has battle roar, which restores 200 mana, stamina, and magicka every time u pop your Standard of Might. Also, don't underestimate the DK's ability to self heal, Green Dragon Blood does some serious healing at a lower cost than Honor the Dead while also restoring stamina.

Also keep in mind that u don't really need an entire bar of heals in this game since there aren't any cooldowns. 1 good self heal and 1 good aoe heal is as good as an entire bar of em.

um u understand that templar heal line is way , way stronger than healing staff dont u., if not i suggest u take a look at any templar stream

Also templar can go light armor mastery , with 1h shield as off weapon and rock .

Gl try to seriously heal in pvp with 2 heals and a heavy armor (in pve it might be viable though )

Aren't u the guy who told me in a diff thread that DK would have no purpose in pvp, then continued to talk about your uber damage+heal god-mode Templar?

Sigh...

I'm not trying to slam Templar dude, I'm just adding to what he has already stated about DK...
