Physical Preorder from Walmart?

Post » Fri Mar 07, 2014 6:56 pm

Some minutes ago I preordered the Physical Explorer's Edition (mainly because I like to have the physical copy, and Im not interested in the Imperial edition). Since Walmart is one of the only big stores in the Town I live, I felt that it was the best decision for me to buy it from there.

Now I uderstand that since its a preorder and its the physical edition I will have access to the game 3 days before release. But the game is supposed to arrive in April 7th. Will walmart send me an Explorer′s Edition code so that I can use those 3 days of early acces?. (Asking since I havent recieved anything).

You would need some kind of code or activation key to download the game. So, in this case, you would need to contact Walmart and ask them the logistics of this. Most physical games come with the download code in the package. Only Walmart knows how or if they will provide these codes before delivery.

I've had bad experiences with Wal-Mart and preordered games. I lost out on ME3 and not only did I not get my preorder but they canceled the purchase they day of and refunded me my money. No special ME3 for me.

... and no more purchased through Wal-Mart.

Well I believe that what I need is the account activation key so that I can use my 3 day early access, but yes I think I will contact them If I see that I dont recieve anything within the next few days (since they might still be processing it). Im sure that Im not the only one that preordered the game from there, hopefully they can manage the preorders as the other sellers do.

That sounds pretty bad, Ive also heard some other problems that my friends had with some preorders. I hope I can use those 3 days of early acces tho, thats the main reason I preordered duh. I know it can be risky buying from walmart sometimes thats mostly why im so concerned about it, but thats what I get for living in a small town :S.

I wouldnt say its any more risky living in a small town, you could be the only one who bought the game thus far from that wal mart store. That should make it easier to accomodate your request.

I grew up in a small town in Indiana, man things were convenient back then. Now I live in Sydney and the way suburbs are split up, you spend more time in traffic or catching trains to whatever suburb has the store that you're after. I dont find living in a populated place making life easier at all, so dont feel bad. :P
