Countless Death while playing hardcoe

Post » Sat Mar 08, 2014 3:59 am

I know most of you guys have the samn problems like i did, dunno if this is related to glitches or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Anyway i play hardcoe, that mean you have only one life to live with and also play on Expert Difficulty as well. I believe my highest level was 32 til i gave up playing and surprisely she didnt die.

So here come the weird parts, when i first got the game, my first death was falling from those stairs in Vampire Lair up in the Mountain of Falkreath (Something Bastion). A vampire mistwalker, after making successful sneak attack with a bow, he/she manage to kill me with one hit in the night and yes i was a vampire too. Funny most deaths i fell from are related to sneak attacks. Once you seen them, dont think they can sneak attack you, but it kinda strange and wondering how in hell did i die lol.

Its no biggy, i dont get mad like some of you guys do. Just move on find something else to do and come back play within a week or two.

My style of play is Darkelf-F (Dunmer) Sneak, Archery and Alchemy mostly. Til i find spell books for conjuration to summon my own undead minions. Btw i dont get involved with the local or do any quests. Too bad there is no vampire clans or quests to do like in Oblivion. Also been trying to roleplay my character, stated that came from Morrowind just east of Riften. After her close friends and family was killed during raids near Skyrim's Border, i decide to pick up a bow and do some hunting. Just about kill anything i see in Skyrim lol, she gone mad alright!

Well, what about joining the Volkihar family?

Yeah, it takes a long start and getting used to. I play with tons of mods, SkyRe, FrostFall, Needs and Diseases etc on Legendary, and when I just started I was slightly startled how 2 wolves can cream me on level 10 if I don't do it very smart. Big mudcrabs became really powerful. Then not to mention all the enemies with crossbows and blunt weapons. But once you do get in the motion it's so fun!

Hmm Volkihar, isnt that vampire family? If so i havent bump into them yet. I have put like 1,000 hours into this game since first came out and every time i start a new character, i pretend i dont know anything about the game itself. I know its not easy to do this, but its alot more enjoyable playing the game... like what if? Anyway been using realistic mods myself as well. realistic carrying weight, weighted golds, weighted arrows and the best part is the Realistic Colors and Night. Guess most players think they are strong and going too fast run into troubles and realise that just wrong place in the wrong time while ending up dead.

Beside i just taking my time, observe the areas careful and never rush in! Btw i do have Dawnguard Expansion though, just havent bumped into those areas yet. Anyhow, i did pre-order ESO and not sure how that game will come out like roleplaying compare to Skyrim. I just need to try it out myself and see if i will like it or not.

You'd be surprised actually. Most DiD players on the forum don't rate when they die.

Yeah, I know what you mean. For the same reasons I don't "bump" into a lot of quests with most of my characters. So yeah, Dawnguard is a bit problematic like that. Beginning of the quest was done badly. You actually need to join the opposing guild of vampire hunters to get to the quest where you can become a member of their family, which also means you can't be a vampire prior to that, so the whole concept it stupid. But that's the only and closest thing to Morrowind vampire families you'll get. :/ You could always just hurry through couple of those quests and make a small backstory that you'll roll with instead of what actually happened. I sometimes do that to "bend the rules" since Skyrim has a lot of stupid concepts like that so I find it justifyng. :P

One thing got me going is not to use the ingame-map, having compass and markers disabled and drawing my own map while charting the areas i have traveled. I find it very amusing doing this and enjoy the game as well. Also had to use the console to reduce the timeframe down to 3, to feel more time is added during day or night environments.
