Think that qualifies as the earliest form of "online" MMOPRG?

People were playing Chess by mail for centuries. So MMO Chess predates ham radios

But recall: The man is playing chess with four other men simultaneously. Sure, there are four chess boards, but multiple players.

Smoke signals were the first ham radio.

Smoke signals = original Teamspeak.

Only two races to choose from...and they were perfectly balanced.

But 4 doesn't equate to Massively Multiplayer so I guess back then it was just MO LOL

It's really more a co-op competitive game than MMO.
