What, if any, are your plans on how to deal with a person being able to join five separate guilds at once?
How is that going to affect how you run your guild, or will it change anything?

I'm neither, yet, but I would say as long as you do your part, I'm fine with that.
My viewpoint on guilds is that it is just another resource. Guildies join expecting activities and loot in exchange of participation. So, basically, I think it should be handled based on participation.
@dbaggons, I agree. People shouldn't be rewarded if they show no participation in your guild or just a guild.
i figure more guilds per person might be a good things, that with the trading and all-
you can have at least one guild for crafting, maybe one guild for questing, one for PvP,.......actually i wouldn't use more than maybe two, a third to go to when i wanna hang out with people i get along with more than the others perhaps,
I was wondering... Do npc guilds count towards the limit?
As a long time GM in a former game, and officer in countless others I would say the only real effect is going to be guild storage will be much more difficult to be given access too. Fostering an atmosphere that encourages players to speak to and engage with each other will also be far, far more important in this game than in any other to date.
Honestly though, I can see this basically becoming an alliance system. Similar to how subing worked in shadowbane, for those that recall that old beast. Should be interesting and different at least.
@alan0n, you make a good point with the guild storage. People you trust should be given access to it, not everyone because someone could take everything then leave.
It won't change anything for me. I won't mind people having trade, social, or RP guilds. If they spend the majority of their time in another PvE/PvP guild and only pop their head in when they need something they will removed.
It really just depends on how and who your guild recruits. How many members do you want to aim for? Does it have a strict heirarchy or is it more relaxed? Do you have open recruitment that advertises everywhere and accepts nearly everyone? Will you only ask players to join that you have played with and get to know a little bit? Friend of friends or exclusive Invite only? Do you take in guild hoppers? What are your goals? Are you proud of your tag or will you let anyone represent it?
You can usually tell if someone is down with your guild and fits in with the vibe. You don't need to be a loose knit guild because of the guild system in ESO. It worked fine in FFXI and allowed people to join tiny guilds with IRL friends that they could pop into and that sort of thing.
