An alternative idea for AH and guild stores

Post » Sun Mar 09, 2014 1:38 pm

First of all, is there any email address, we can send them emails and suggestions?

The idea is to hire services from major towns. An NPC with a horse and a wagon... You can place your items for sale to them, with YOUR desired price and your desired amount of time.

For example I give my merchandise for up to 48-72 hours to a merchant with my desired price and that merchant is travelling all across the world and selling! If there is any successful sales, this npc mailing my money!! When the time expires, the NPC mails back my unsold stuff.

That could be good, for selling your stuff into other alliances!...

When and if they implement houses/towers/castles for guilds and players, we could have our own NPC's doing that job...

I personally highly support the idea of a hireling, especially when we get our housing, mostly for services (such as selling our stuff).

ps: Thats why we also need a better system for tracking npc's in world MAP, so we can track down NPC's with services.

I had thought about something like that, as well as renting (paying a weekly fee, and once it expires, someone else can buy the location) some sort of store/kiosk in a city and having an NPC sell goods. The fee can even be adjusted based on the population of the city, or based on the number of other NPCs in the area being used to sell goods. Though a wandering merchant sounds pretty cool, too, as long as he/she's not too hard to find. I'll be real interested to see what ZOS comes up with, eventually.

Sounds good I thought it would be good if we could rent a stall that'll have your name on it and an NPC run it for you at a set price per day/week or a commission fee for operating the stall taken out of the final sales. This would be in major cities and at one location that is empty maybe town square or something built outside the town like a TENT bazaar or something.

If I remember correctly back in the days of DAOC you could put a merchant on your house. Keep all the items there with the prices you set. Then I think there was a main NPC that you could search items and he would give you the loc of the house or buy right from him, sorry if I am not getting this quite right its been a long time.

Sounds very much in keeping with the lore, but would you really want your stuff on a wagon out of your reach for months not knowing if it will sell or not?

Since it seems like questing and crafting/selling will be the only way to make money, since even the bosses only drop 1 - 2 gold, the ability to put up a hireling in predetermined areas to sell loot would be a welcome addition.
