The Law

Post » Sun Mar 09, 2014 11:30 am

"Prisons and jails are a big part of The Elder Scrolls games. They have been included in Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. When you commit crimes you are sent to jail to pay for your crimes."

Would it be possible to implement this feature in The Elder Scrolls Online? What would be against the law? Could we escape or plan a breakout with our friends? Would it be possible to pay for the freedom of your companion? This is alot to ask for, and starting threads with features that require long development seems to be a sensitive thing on this forum. But i am curious. And i want to know what you come up with if jails were present in the large cities of Tamriel.

Apologies for any spelling errors, it's getting late here.

They said that a morality/criminal system would be implemented in further updates, but I'm not sure of how it will works.

Was announced some time ago that the Thieves Guild and a Justice System will be in the first content patch post-launch.

I guess it's possible they might have changed their priorities by now, but it's definitely coming.

They never said anything about a morality system :P A legal system is not the same thing. TES has never had a morality system, and all indications are that ESO follows that tradition.

It's only 23:18 PM, just kidding. That's on the late side.

It'll probably be implemented.

GREAT!

Well, i just wasted a whole thread asking a question, when its already on the way... eventually. Apologies.

Great news though! .... hmmm.... it will be hard to NOT become a criminal in the game, thats how excited i am for this feature. Maybe stab someone here and there, steal a sweetroll or two. Can't wait.
