"Login Information Incorrect"?

Post » Sun Mar 09, 2014 8:56 pm

Hello everybody.

So there was a beta-key giveaway by "The Gamers Concept" on Facebook. The key successfully made my account accessible for the Beta, however I can't login to the game itself. I attempt to login with the User ID and password in the client, and it states "Your login information is incorrect." However, I can login to the ESO Account website just fine (hence the ability to apply the beta key). This is very frustrating, as I know for a fact I'm not messing up the password or user ID in the client. Has anyone else struggled with this?

No weekend beta is currently undergoing right now. Only PTS closed beta.

The beta isn't active at the moment, so you won't be able to log in the game anyway.

If your info works on the website you're good.

I believe another beta starts this next friday, so try then.

Ooooh, I see. I wasn't aware that these happened on weekends only. That is my mistake. Excuse me for being a noob

It's just the wording they have chosen, I get the same thing with my stress test account when there's no weekend session enabled. As mentioned, if your account shows you have beta access you will be ok when they enable the next weekend session.

Can we all just stop calling the closed beta server for PTS. PTS means Public Test Server. A PTS server is like a beta test server after the game have been released to test new patches on that anyone that owns the game / subscribes to can join.

PTS also means 'private test server' and the label is given by ZOS...

You can download the 'PTS' client from the launcher.

oh well, they are still PTS non the less. private or public. Using PTS is only right when ZOS calling it PTS themselves.

Because you are a stress tester and not a private tester. Different patchers would be my guess.

You all get an option to show the PTS client for download, my guess is after launch everyone will be able to log on to it for testing purpose exclusively.
