Probably less overall performance in cities and populated areas with friendly npcs. It would not surprise me if weaker systems get 1-20 fps less due to CPU stressing and bottlenecks.

Of course, we have to wait and test it by ourselves.

Im happy, so then it makes melee combat much better, instead of me putting my shield up and npcs just waltzing through me and negating my block.

Would be cool with colission detection in cyrodill PvP aswell. Would make FPV a more viable option in my opinion. (As you cant just walk through a person to exit the FOV).

Most likely not doable as ZM is aiming for a "massive" feeling.

They're also implementing true fullscreen, so that should sort the FPS issues out a little bit.

I haven't noticed it making combat any different. The only thing that I've noticed is the annoyance of getting stuck between NPC's and objects.

Collision comes with a whole load of issues. I think you all may be wishing they disable it after a while. I've played many mmos, some with collision and none implement it very well and it usually leads to more annoyance than anything. Just wait until you are blockee from a quest objective or someone pushes an NPC out of reach.

Sounds good, but honestly after testing it for the last weeks... it's more of a hindrance. It honestly doesn't add any value to the combat like some may think.

Very happy we get it, one of my main gripes with melee is running up to a mob just to run through it... so immersion breaking. Now we just need housing and it would be complete.

I think it's pretty cool that you can't run through other NPC's.

Makes a big difference in 1st person. That and the upcoming FOV slider should be great improvements. I haven't noticed any real hindrance to it with NPCs. Unless you run into them straight on, you just slide around them.

It's pretty good, I think it will add little more impact in combat, and obviously enemies could box you in now, so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out in dungeons, either way I'm sure us healers will still get the blame when someone gets pulverised by enemies swarming around him.

This is a great reason to implement area voice.... "Hey, GTF out of my way!"

There is more than one beta. Weekend stress test betas use an older build without all of the new features that are available to long-term testers.
