Monitor question

Post » Mon Mar 10, 2014 1:13 pm

Sorry kind of an odd place to ask i guess but i thought someone would have some experience with this lol. I am debating on what direction to go with my monitor setup, i am looking at buying this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236348&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo

or going with a 3 monitor setup and i really havent decided on what size to go with on those but i thought that i could probably buy 3 monitors for less then the one but money really isnt the issue. I just want something that looks good, i played around with 2 monitors of course they weren't the same size and the bezels were huge but i liked the look of it.

Anyway was just wondering if anyone might have some input or suggestions.

All I can say is, I've had good experiences with ASUS, although the biggest I've gone is 24 inch.

Having played on a three monitor setup it's advisable to know that a lot of older games don't support eyefinity.

I like the Dell Ultrasharp IPS panels, nice range of colours and really add some depth to your games. However for a FPS gamer you're better off with the older TFT style with a higher refresh rate, colours ain't as vibrant or varied but refresh times are better for twitch gameplay.

Would you benefit from a three monitor setup for ESO? As it currently stands no, the UI needs fixing otherwise it's difficult to see the text and the inventory is miles away from the character part.
Do you know anyone who has a multi monitor setup that you can play on and see what you think?

No, i wish i did, that was my main reason for posting here, i thought someone would probably have a setup with 3 or such and have some experience with it and i am not much into FPS games really just mainly mmo's, i play a little smite and arma 3 from time to time. I hooked up 2 with arma 3 and i liked it except for the huge bezels of course.

I own a 2560x1440 120hz monitor right now that I love very much.

IF, I had to buy a new monitor right now... I would buy one of these with blur eliminating technology (which I notice majorly) to get CRT quality smoothness once again.

I would actually get this one. It's a reduction from 2560x1440 and I will miss the real estate, but I game/stream more often than not in 1080.

Here's a good test to check motion blur by changing you refresh rate if you have a monitor with over 60 right now
