@Bethseda WHAT the heck is Ultimate?

I view that as a "master level" spell or melee move. That is how I explain in terms of lore.

I guess you could think of it as a kind of Berserker Rage but I don't know where it could come from lore wise.

It's still an MMO, it needs some more visually appealing and strong castables akin to mmo's normal spells and crazy combo's.

So instead they came with this concept and I think is one of the things they implemented with absolute brilliance, once again bravo to the dev's, made a very pleasing compromise between and ESO and an MMO.

You can not have a auto attack only spam type of gameplay like in skyrim...

Yup, we get a skill rotation MMO like all the rest with no footwork or real sword play.

If I would explain what an "ultimate" skill is from a RP point of view I would say it's an adrenaline pumping act of desperation, a so called hail Mary.

It is learned through arcane research. All of the class skills are magicka spells, somewhat related to the schools of destruction, illusion, restoration, alteration, conjuration or perhaps a kind of blood magic (nightblade's siphoning, undaunted blood altar).

There are other forms of magic powers in TES games which do not use magicka, such as the doomstones, birth signs, standing stones and the Thu'um. As the story of ESO takes place thousands of years in the past, it could simply be that this particular type of magic was forgotten by most over time.

Actually, your explanations are all crap. We're all worshipers of Khorne (wrong universe) and the Blood God deems us worthy when we have spilled enough blood to cast/use something that he bestows upon us like a boon.

A lore based explanation; it's your battlefield momentum, it's good to stretch out before doing strenuous exercise and in this case stretching out means ... some athletics involving killing things.

Every Elder Scrolls game added something that didn't exist in previous Elder Scrolls games.

Why must ESO be different?

o.O Huh?

lol.... umm.... what?

It's just a powerful spell or ability that takes a lot of energy to use. So once you use it, it requires rest and focus in order to use it again. Kinda like bashing your head through a stack of wood. It's a very powerful move, but you cant use it over and over. You have to focus and build up energy to do it again.
