Passive skills

Post » Tue Mar 11, 2014 3:05 pm

Are they always on like in DCUO, no mater what armor/weapons your currently using.

For example if you have the passives of the two hander but only use a bow does the passives carry over.

In DCUO the passives are always active on the weapons, even if you don't use them, it promotes gathering skill points.

I hope it's like DCUO system, other wise a lot of wasted skill points doing nothing.

most require you to either be wearing/using the armor/weapons or have the proper abilities slotted in your bars.

That seems disappointing, why can we earn so many points but do nothing with them?

Of course a passive skill that boosts destruction staff won't be active when you fight with a bow -_-

You mean in the weapons skill line? I'm going to assume so

Then, you do realize someone does not get better with greatswords by fighting with 2 daggers?

Huh? I didn't look through all the passives but I'd guess they are like added crit more DMG style, so if you picked this on say a two hander skill line, but only use a bow or another weapon only, you would still be using the passives you unlocked from the two hander even though you don't use it. In DCUO you keep the passive DMG/crit/power ect from the passives you unlocked even if you don't use the weapon.

I disagree. Your character fights with a greatsword and gains experience in this type of fighting, thus learns how to best hit opponents in their weak spots, resulting in an increase dam/crit/power (to follow your example). Then your character decides to pick up a bow and suddenly he is a bow expert who knows how to best shoot with it because he's trained with swords? I'm sorry but it makes no sense.

How did you get that from What I said?

You other weapon starts at 1 but has the passives of the weapon you "mastered" from the start, you still need to lvl the other weapons to unlock their own passives.
