Ever played Bioshock? Because that's exactly what came to mind when I read that.

My character's name is Amadeus Kyros.
Why?
He's the main in every sci-fi story I've ever written, I don't play male characters in Oblivion, and I thought I needed to make him more "real".

I roleplay as him. The fact I write completely different themes to Fallout doesn't really impact too much. He can still womanise, drink like a fish and smoke like a chimney.

I've never been good at naming my chars i probaly made nearly 100 and have deleted all but my newest one, most were named either Karen or Rena and even a few Asunas and Konokas for females and Cougar or Knight for males (which i don't play as often since black widow is more usefull then lady killer in most cases).

My current char is a female named Mana Tatsumiya since i lack any kind of imagination and Negima is one of my favorite mangas right now.

If i do make a male char soon i'll probaly name him Lancaar Knight, i'm not quite sure where i got the name Lancaar though.

My character I'm playing with now:
Carmine- Because if you've played Gears before you can't deny he's the coolest.

I played a female Melee based character called Kiddo for the same reason!

In the original games she was very fond of stabbing to the groin, and then going for the eyes when the poor sap dropped from the low blow

In F3 she was fond the of the Shishkebab

My current character is called Jessie, as in James. As I fancied going for a gun slinger.

I only have 2 saves
-Alucard, my bad karma save, got the name from hellsing which if you havent seen get off the forum, watch it, then return
-Donald, because thats my name lol

Huayang, an Enclave-supporting woman of chinese descent.

Samantha, my "main". Nothing behind her name, I simply can't give my characters exotic names like in Oblivion. So, something more normal.

My character's name is Raze. I named him that because I am a huge fan of the Underworld movies and he was one of the Lycans.
