Any news on Khajiit Carnage nerf or Bosmer ranged Carnage?

Post » Tue Mar 11, 2014 11:03 am

Are there any development news yet regarding a nerf of the +15% crit dmg from Khajiit’s -or- the possible introduction of a Bosmer version of the Carnage passive applying to ranged attacks?

Nope. Why should bosmer get carnage, if you don't mind ?

Yea. Here's some news. The game isn't released yet so let's, oh I don't know, actually play the thing for a few months before declaring we know better than the developers who have been working on this for years. So no - let's not nerf anything, let's not give any race anything they don't have now. Let's play the game.

It was an example posted a couple of times and introduced last week as an alternative for the rather weak poison resistance which has next to no use in AvA.

Well personally I don't agree with bosmer. Carnage is a damn good racial and I don't see why 2 races in the same faction should have it. We don't need wow-style factions that have better pvp racials than the others and people playing certain factions "cuz pro".

Poison resist is great when you consider how many people use bow's in AVA, the primary source of poison damage.

I think the point people are trying to make is that they don't want to level up a Khajit Nightblade only to have it's Carnage racial nerfed in a month or two. Without that Carnage racial being the way it is, won't the Khajit take a backseat to other races for the Nightblade class?

I understand both sides here. This is why I hardly ever play races I don't like because of their racials abilities. It's better to play a race you enjoy looking at. I can't stand the way Khajit looks so I just will not play it and I'll play either Bosmer, Redguard or even maybe Orc. So I won't crit as hard as Khajit's but there are other benefits to the other races.

I don't really see the problem, i'll be making a bosmer myself and i'll be making it a werewolf. So that poison resist racial will come in handy to negate some of the +50% poison damage you recieve as a werewolf. Let the cats keep their carnage.

Agreed. I don't pick races and classes on any other criteria than what I want to play, which is a Breton in the Daggerfall Covenant or an Imperial in the same. i don't give a hoot what racial bonuses go with what class. A few % on this or that means nothing. It's the skill of the player.

The only issue I see with carnage is the +15% crit bonus damage. That will be a very big deal with top gear. If it was scaled down or just simplified into just 3/4/5 % +crit, that might balance out better at end game.

Does it really matter, just play the race/faction you enjoy and stop worrying about it.

Melee +Crit *No Magic Abilities*

And it isn't clear the 15% Dmg increase isn't also tied to Melee. So Class/Guild/etc don't benefit from the bonus.

You understand the difference between ranged and melee sneak critical?

In short anybody with an bow can go into sneak mode and fire an bow and get a sneak attack anytime and always at least in PvE.

Not saying that the carnage is not OP.

However sneak ranged and melee is a bit different think of skyrim.
