Clothier chest pieces, robes only?

Post » Wed Mar 12, 2014 5:39 pm

I only spent a little time crafting in the previous beta session. For light armor, I only noticed robes for chest pieces, despite seeing quite a few non-robe light armor chest pieces as drops. Is clothier limited to only robes for chest pieces, or are there recipes later on that unlock light armor tunics?

Clothiers can make light and medium armour. Just scroll across the top part of the crafting window to find more items to make.

I didn't see any, however I'm 99% sure there are cloth armor tunic drops, so they exist. Just not in the crafting screen.

I'm talking specifically about robes, which cover the legs, vs. tunics, which do not. When I tried clothier out in the previous beta session, robes were the only option for *light armor* chest pieces. There was a tunic option under clothier, but it was specifically medium armor.

I noticed this too. Hopefully you can somehow craft light armor chest pieces without the robe part that goes over your legs.

If not, it isn't the end of the world, since I can just mix and match armor, but I couldn't help but wonder.

I've found light armor chest pieces called Jerkins (not robes). Can't craft them though.

Is it possible to improve dropped jerkins with Clothier?

So far, I don't think it's possible to craft light armor chestpiece that isn't a robe.

Personnaly, I'll just wear 6 light armor pieces with a medium chestpiece

As far as I know, yes. You can improve them from white to green to blue to purple to gold

I have the opposite concern... I like to wear a dress  Planning on giving my bow using medium armor Khajiit a cloth chest for just that reason  No one will know she wears leather underwear!

the chest piece is the armor piece that has the largest amount of armor, so it is also the piece that benefits the most, from being either heavy or medium

personally ill be using heavy or medium chest and legs, to improve my armor and to ensure i get some points in those lines, in case i want to try out another build later
