I use Fraps. Works great.

EDIT: Didn't know about /fps.

This one is is a complicated multi-step process.

Step 1: /fps

Step 2: View your FPS.

Enjoy.

I use fraps for it....

I also have shadowplay from Nvidia, but shadowplay is not compatible with ESO yet, shadowplay is cool because we can record amazing quality video at 60fps, smaller size than FRAPS does... It also gives us all the GPU details (temps, fps, etc). I hope Zeinimax, or NVIDIA (i dont know who must do that..) will make it happen soon, shadowplay is cool for our streaming!

I give an example... Last time shadowplay didnt work with the beta, so I used fraps.... I had 200gb free in a hard disk, to stream my video from ingame, edit and upload on youtube after...

Before I even finish the main quest, all 200gb was occupied by fraps video!!!! I freaked out... I compressed it after into 500mb video, but....yeah... thats why shadowplay is MUCH way better and it uses much less resources. 1-2% of gpu hardware and some space to write the video.

My understanding is that they are adding true full screen instead of windowing which should fix the shadow play issue.

No such thing as a stupid question if you don't know and you genuinely want to know the answer. Heck, I didn't know about the /fps command, either, so we both learnt something today.

well I have it full size, 60frames per second.... The same I use for shadowplay. It took that much, maybe because It took me about 20minutes to create my character... I ve made a character creation video and I love to spend time creating my character.... I never randomize things, I want it to be something I like and unique.

Wasn't having a pop buddy, check the settings of FRAPS, you can cut that down by half and still have the same quality (1080p).

While you can use Fraps, if a game has the function built in, that is always best as you are not running another background app which could affect the performance of the game.
