Your single most outstanding moment in gaming

Could be a breathtaking moment like gazing upon Sovngarde's sky for the first time in skyrim, or maybe a scary moment in, uh, bioshock? A moment that stands out the most amongst all of your games.

Mine's probably in Oblivion. I had just started the game, and was going to this mountain (or hill) called Cloud Top, for a quest. When i reached the top, the climix of the atmosphere music (It was atmosphere_1, think its Glory of Cyrodiil) was playing, and my gaze rested upon the breathtaking view from the top of the mountain. I live in a city, so i don't get many tranquil views. The overview of the forest was outstanding. Not to mention the sky above; i felt immersed in paradise.

That was the moment for me :D

For me, I want to say in terms of nature and stuff, Oblivion blew me away. But my real 'awe' moment was playing Fallout 3 and emerging from Vault 101 the first time. I knew absolutely nothing about the Fallout games then so that view plus that music that plays the first time you step outside, it's pretty powerful IMO.

San Andreas is terrible though. Probably the worst installment in the series.

There is so many, so many. However I have to say when I landed on Palaven's Moon and seen the reaper eradicating the Turians in the soft blue glow. High above their homeworld burning. It's always stood out in my mind as one of the most amazing and horrific sights in a video game series.

I'm sure more will come to me in time. This is usually the first though. At that time I had all of my conditions undiagnosed and I was getting incredibly sicker by the day. No one knew why. At some points they thought it was a flesh eating virus it was so grossly disturbing what was happening to me. I was in misery and agony, and I just connected with the Turians and the entire situation. Almost like I was experiencing all of the horrors they were. So it's become ingrained in my mind. Yet despite the agonizing pain and desire to quit I kept going. In a hopeless situation. Much like them.

It was about 1230 at night and I was the only one in the living room. I was playing the 8 bit Zelda and I finally killed Gannon. I was in my mid twenties at the time and I was jumping up and down in celebration.
