Veifying mods before starting a new game : V

After experimenting for several days with different mods, I am going to start again a new character, so I would like to ask your opinion about the mods I chose, whether there will be conflicts, whether the load and installation orders are ok etc. Also, if I missed some other good quest and graphic mods, could you please suggest some? I made this thread because I read that, unlike Morrowind and Oblivion, you can't do anything with mods in Skyrim halfway through the game, as it may cause problems impossible to fix if not by starting another character, so I wanted to be sure everything is ok before starting.

I am not sure if use these ones:

Quality snow flakes (it’s said that it becomes too bright with ENB)

Reskin cities

Unique grasses and groundcovers

I also installed these 2 separately because versions supported by SMC aren’t available any more, and the new updated ones aren’t recognized by the program:

I wanted to use Better Cities Whiterun and Windhelm, but Whiterun provoked crashes to desktop shortly after the beginning (even before Ralof strats speaking). Does Windhelm also have problems?

Is it possible to fix it somehow?

Unfortunately no one is going to be able to verify whether or not you'll be able to play completely problem free.

It's really up to you to make sure mods are compatible with eachother. Mod authors hopefully include compatibility info with their mod. Alot of them do.

When in doubt about a particular mod you can use TESedit to see if there are conflicts.

There are a number of conflicts that can occur with mods. Not all of them will result in crashing, freezing, etc. There can be benign conflicts such as a item name being overridden or something like that.

That's a minor problem. There can be other more bothersome conflicts such as invisi creatures, quest problems, npc glitches, clothless npcs, etc. You may or may not notice conflicts either. A conflict may be

too small to notcie such as the item name example. You may not notice a problem with a particular area until you find/explore that area. So you are playing smoothly for many hours until you decide to explore X only to find the game crashes.

That said, from what ive looked at you seem ok to try. I use some of the mods you're using and my game plays fine (so far). I don't use all of the mods you have though. You aren't using too many mods so that's good.

The texture mods should be ok. The main thing is to make sure you arent overwriting textures/meshes from other mods. SInce these type of mods are not save game dependent, they are safe to add remove etc. Things like enb series are

similar and are not save game dependent. BOSS is important to use for load order. Bashed/compatibility patches can help with some mod conflicts. Some people recommend you try and clean mods that may need them. Be aware

that not all mods should be cleaned as it will break the mod if you do so. Again it depends on the mod in question.

If you're using alot of 2k or 4k textures or SMC you probably want to uncheck the high-res texture packs.
