Once the 5 day early access starts?. I hope not since there are some good threads...but then again there are a lot of repeat threads as well

Anyone heard anything?

I don't think they'll copypasta and move stuff. Which is why we're going to save the compilation post for the Things I wished I knew thread.

This forum will go away. Not sure if the threads will be kept around for any length of time after it's shutdown, or when they postings will stop here.

The reason is, your TESO account is tied to the TESO Forums, so they need to be separate. How that tie in works out, other than sharing login emails or names is not known to me.

I hope they just copy/paste this into a general discussion thread on the "new"/launch forum. Why wipe all the great insights and discussions to date? Feels like a step backward to me.

Edit: Just realized this IS the general discussion thread. So my prediction is that it stays "as is" and they just add more sub-forums to ESO.

Considering most of the discussions are on things that were not really known at the time they were being discussed, I don't see much here that needs to be kept going. It's only been the last couple of weeks, post NDA, that any substantive discussions could take place. Plus, the game has changed a ton during the betas, and I am sure it will keep improving up to and after launch. So, even the things we discuss now are mostly moot in the grand scheme of things.

What I do wonder is if someone who does not have the game can access the TESO forums, perhaps they can get access to a Public General Discussion area, where game owners are given access to all the areas. Again, I don't know. But, if there is no non player access, then it could be a reason to keep a TESO board here. Problem is, most people who are playing that game, and can talk best about the topics, won't be here.

I'm fairly certain it will get wiped yes, was same for the old pre launch swtor forums, thank god because those forums were full of whiny kids.

Its much better here, but usually they start fresh (and empty) when a game launches.

If there's something you want to keep for whatever reason you can always copy stuff, so who cares ;)

I hope that they start from scratch and only allow registered game owners to post.

I hope they do, getting 12 hours of anything goes, no forum rules and such with no consequences would be awesome.
