So if u pre order the game, you get to play any race as any faction, as well as imperial. Is this good for just 1 char, or forever u can be any race with any faction? On any amount of future alts?

If you preorder you can play any race in any faction, Imperials are locked unless you preorder the imperial edition. And its a permanent perk I believe that you can create as many characters you want using the any race any faction perk.

It's weird how they did this. It makes it look like only RP'ers are the ones that will stick with faction racial lines assuming that the majority of people that want to play this game will pre-order it and be able to play any race.

Well any race in any faction fits the TES lore since you know we find individuals of any race everwyhere in the other TES games, at the same time it limits a bit that since not much people will get that perk(except everybody that preordered), but I bet that they will release an account upgrade some time after launch, so that u can get the perk for some cheapy price. And nah most people will stick with an alliance racial lines, there will be exceptions but they wont be the majority.
