Buy horse from cash shop

Post » Fri Mar 14, 2014 9:25 am

"What types of items or services can we expect to find in the Zenimax store?

The purpose of the store is to offer interested players a variety of additional services. At launch we’re going to have two items: the ability to upgrade to the Imperial Edition, and an entry level horse (Palomino colored). The horse you get in both purchases is functionally the same, but the Imperial Edition is the only way to ever get the White horse. We have the Palomino horse available to allow players to purchase a basic mount without purchasing the entire Imperial Edition.

Anyone regretting buying the Imp Edition for only the horse now? :P

Just for clarification, can you get horses for ingame currency? Including the best one?

oh, in this case it seems to me like they're doing it to calm all the people angry over the IE horse and thinking its p2w. still not sure I like the direction though.

They are not calming anyone unless horses are cheaper for ingame currency 1-2k. So players don't have to spend RL cash to avoid grinding gold till death.

We all knew they'd have a store. Its what they've been telling us for about a year now. It will contain account services and vanity stuff. So far this is exactly that, you can upgrade to the Imperial edition is an account service and a different colored horse is a vanity item.

In anticipation of the coming [censored]fest, I propose this song.

I bought it for the lore book, so I don't really mind. I don't even like white horse, I prefer Oblivion's black, not to mention GUAR > any horse  Not making guar mountable would be a missed opportunity.

I think it comes down to what the cost of just the horse is in terms of real cash. The difference between the IE and the Standard is...$20 I think? If the horse is $5, then is the Imperial Race, Mara's Rings, White Horse and mudcrab worth $15?

Not exactly everyone. Read the forum a while back. A lot of people thought this was going to be the game to change the game store idea and not have a store and I guarantee, there will be a lot more than just a horse and an upgrade not that I mind but I read all the posts about ESO not having a store and I laughed.

I'm not sure you how you can call something as important as a horse a "vanity item", when everybody else has to save out a [censored]load of gold before they can buy their own horse.

its not really grinding though. gold isn't that hard to get, especially in later levels.

It doesn't take that long to buy a horse ingame, even at the 42k level.

I still don't like seeing a horse in the cash shop, on a game with a subscription.

This horse in store is the basic one that is for 17k gold not the higher price one that is 40k. 17k isn't a "@#$%load" of gold. You can make that and more by at least lvl 15 or so.

I'm ok with having the only white horse ever available in the game.

I would like the white horse to maybe, you know, actually BE white. Mine wasn't.

Maybe it was beta white and not full release white!
