buyers remorse..

Post » Fri Mar 14, 2014 3:36 am

we all have it at some point in our lives..

Buyers remorse, where we purchase something (usually a fairly pricey object) and then second guess ourselves on if it was the right purchase or not..

What are some purchases you have had buyers remorse over?

*NOTE*, Buyers remorse is NOT the same as buying something you did not enjoy

I went and bought a car a few weeks ago (a 2008 Ford F150), and ever since I have felt i paid to much money for it, and should have put that money towards a down payment on a house i am considering purchasing..

I have thrown way to much money over the years for collectors editions of games and anime, all of which I usually regret afterwards..

yesterday I went and bought a new gaming monitor for my PC, but regret it as it would have been cheaper to just replace the capacitors on my broken screen..

and I still feel the purchase of my Cottage was a big mistake, as I never use it anymore..

what are some purchases that have given you buyers remorse..?

Buyer's remorse seems to almost always end up with cars.

As a former car salesman I recommend that when you buy anything the road to happiness is paved with never thinking about it again.

Every christmas-ish time, I buy a quart of egg nog (and used to buy more when I run out). Over the years, my body has slowly started to have the inability to handle it. The past 4-5 years, everytime I bought eggnog I have been extremely remorseful about 12 hours later.

PS4.

I already have a gaming PC so i don't really need it. If i could turn back time i wouldn't have bought one, not yet anyway. Only game i really want for it is Destiny in September.

Thus far, nothing I suppose. Then again I'm still relatively young so I suppose all of the purchases I've made up till then point haven't been significant enough to warrant buyers remorse.

Then again the closest I've come to buyers remorse was the purchase of my iPod Touch 4G. I picked it up on impulse instead of facts, so I didn't know it was gimped compared to the iPhone 4. It's still a niffy little device however, so I don't quite regret the purchase.

I just bought Battlefield 4. I'm a glutton for punishment so I'm probably going to regret this purchase when it finally downloads and installs in 40 hours. Yes, Origin is telling me the game will be ready in 40 hours. I have a DSL connection as fast as an 1995 AOL dial-up connection.

I guess that's not to bad then.

I get buyers remorse after nearly everything I buy, I must be a cheapskate at heart.

I bought a new car once, hated it, felt guilty. Went back to my forerunner in two days flat

Hmm, none for now. Although you could say i have bittersweet feelings about purchasing my current laptop. For one i had the chance to experience music and games that i would never have gotten with my old xp desktop, as the old one couldnt handle much. Now i've got a sizeable collection of music from games and movies.

On the other hand all of that has sorta ruined my exams :(

TBH, I can't think of anything that I've bought that I wound up regretting. I'm sure there's something, or some things I've bought that I regretted, but they escape my memory now...not surprising, since these days, I can barely remember what I went to the fridge for.

Could have just gotten a PS3 for a third of the price if all you wanted is Destiny.

For me it would be the BioShock games. Completely average gameplay i could get anywhere else.

I would say my car but I love it too much to be remorseful of the chunk of change I spent on it. Xbox 1 as well but Forza 5 is almost worth it too me, plus there will be other games in the next few years I will get. Some random game purchases as well but other than that I am pretty frugal even though standing in my shoes it seems I'm not at all.

The money I've spent on my countless Dodge Viper model cars. I have an unhealthy obsession with the (now SRT) Viper and I've tossed a lot of moola into the model cars. I love them all, and they look great in their glass case (especially my #13 Woodhouse Racecar Viper) but I've wasted way too much money on them. Maybe I can save up enough and purchase a real Viper someday lol
