rightttt
orcs have awesome racials for the type of class id want to play. Im deciding between an orc or an imperial come launch....
I toyed with being a Khajiit but just couldn't get over the tail. I figure Dunmer is the best race for a hybrid class; which almost all players will be to some degree; especially ones using fire based abilities. I also like Bretons but I prefer a Stamina build more than a Magicka focus. Would never consider being an Osimer or Argonian . Altmers are just awkward freaks.
And the furry thing with the tail blends in?
Good show, you were brought up right dear.
Cats are really dirty. Their scat makes you mental too. I know, never again.
Altermer for sorc, Khajiit for nb. How can you possibly think of something different?
[EDIT]
And Imp to slave them all!
If you are making this judgement based on the max magicka increase, then i remind you it is very easy to soft cap magicka.
If it is because of the +elemental damage or -spell cost, then you might have a point, but its not a big enough boost to make a huge difference. Things like Khajit Carnage or Redguard stamina proc are more of a 'game changer'.
Truth is not many know much about it. It changes throughout vet levels as well I believe I've read. Also I see little reason to choose a Khajiit over a Breton if making a magicka based caster who doesn't use a melee weapon.
We may find out that the most hated racials (Argonians) turn out to be the best because of the alchemy boost. I for one learned years ago to never take the most powered of anything at the launch of an mmo. Welcome to nerf town.
Yup the more people take it, the quicker the nerf comes.
I think that is the point, that they can hit soft caps while devoting more into health. Compare to, say, a Redguard or Argonian who will need to devote more to hit magicka soft cap, which indirectly leaves less for health.
But by that logic, Imperial should also be on the list, since their heavy health boost would end up with similar results.
Right. I've seen the pics floating around of the infamous Altmer. But there has been nothing about hitting both Magicka and Health soft caps, right? If one race can use a couple of more +health enchants than another while keeping the same magicka levels, that is still more.
AFAIK, those hitting the magicka soft caps are still relying on enchants to do so. Being able to convert more of those +magicka to +health is the point.

I didn't realize any race was better than another... You guys should ALL know that Elder Scrolls doesn't have races that are better than others. Obviously we know an Orc is better at tanking than a Breton is, and an Altmer is better at magic than a Nord is, and a Bosmer is better at using a bow than an Argonian is, etc. Every race has their special perks depending on how YOU prefer to play, and it's ALWAYS been like that, ever since Elder Scrolls: Arena. I don't even see why this thread was created in the first place. It seems really silly and pointless, and smothered in opinions and personal preferences being pushed on one another.
And no, the Imperial isn't the best just because it costs more, that is insanely ridiculous. It costs more simply because the conflict of the game surrounds their homeland. That's simply it.
You might want to read my signature before taking what I say to heart.
You aren't the only one that said that though, and not everyone was as sarcastic about it as you were. I'm talking about people that say this in general, the one's that actually meant it, too. During the last beta this guy was mad that he wouldn't be able to play as an Imperial because he couldn't afford the Imperial Edition. He believed it would make the best tank and therefore, the best race. Simply because he believes the tank role is the best. His ignorance of the opinions of others was amusing at best.
Oh, well that is rather amusing. I said it for some cheap laughs. I never for a second thought anyone would buy into that.
