Great post, I agree completely.
If the goal is to break up the "Imperial Edition" into smaller purchases, so players can pick and choose only those options they want without being forced to pre-order the whole thing, that's great. I really like that concept.
If that Palomino horse is $40 in the shop... well, then yeah, it would be a cash grab. We really have to wait to see the pricing, and see what else finds its way into the store. It's not a slippery slope (or even a slope) until there's a trend. So far, we've only seen this one thing, and we don't even have all the information about it, yet.

I've never met a community so obsessed with mounts, no wonder they added one to the cash shop, i don't even want a horse, and no it wont affect me in Cyrodil because i wont be going in there..
All mounts are is a waste of in game money and now real money..
