3-6 second long freezes with 100% cpu load, please fix this!

Post » Fri Mar 14, 2014 7:27 pm

I just noticed immediately I started playing that this well known bug is not yet fixed?

The game freezes for 3-6 seconds, then everything plays in superfast mode for a sec or two to "catch up" with what just happened. This was a big problem in cyrodiil last beta weekend, but now I notice it even more in just normal questing as well. I have tried the tips out there like closing the launcher while gaming, or making priority on eso.exe to above normal, but the freezes happen a lot still, and makes playing the game really frustrating.

This makes the game unplayable, so please fix this before release for the paying customers that pay for a working product.

My pc consist of: Asus g750 JH, Nvidia GTX 780m (the game runs at 60 FPS at ultra), 16 gb ram, SSD HD, i7 hq 4700 3.4 ghz turbo.

Every other game I've played on this machine have ran 100% flawlessly with everything maxed. WoW, Rift other mmo's etc has been flawless as well.

Releasing the game with this well known bug that affects lots of people will probably lead to lots of negativity and people wanting money back at launch.

They're aware of it, but they haven't found a way to fix it, yet.

Np with i5 maybe it's hyperthreading issue? Can't remember if you can disable it to test if it's that though.

It doesn't effect everybody fyi. I play on the PTS and don't have this issue. But yes they are aware of it and are trying to fix whatever is causing some to experience this.

I have an i5, and I get this problem. Not very common, so it surprises me every time. Hate it when it happens in battle.

Please close launcher in background. Known issue it starts pinning the CPU after some play time
