The Fate of the Dragonborn #2

Post » Sat Mar 15, 2014 12:57 am

Basically, how is Bethesda going to handle the Dragonborn's disappearance and how are they going to render the civil war in Skyrim void, since choosing one side over the other will upset the players who choose the other. A Red Year or Great War like event, or an event more like the Warp in the West? Or ignore it all together. This also ties into the fate of the Empire as well as Skyrim. Shall the Dragonborn's fate only be mentioned in rumors and what lies in the fate of Skyrim? I quite like the idea of a conflict between the Falmer and Nords, basically weakening Skyrim and rendering the civil war outcome void, especially with the coming collapse of the Empire.

I've always thought that the next TES game could very well be in Akavir. I'd even be willing to bet on it.

I just have an inkling you know?

I don't think so. I'd like to see BGS's version of Alinor, Black Marsh, and the other provinces. But I would definitely like to Akavir.

So far I know, the protagonist in Oblivion was also mentioned only a few times, simply as ''prisoner'' or ''hero of Kvatch''.

Big chance that the same will be the case for the ''last Dragonborn''.

Consider it a way to allow the players to decide their fate.

Not an ultimate fate mind you, but a possible fate. Rumors about Nerevarine going to Akavir, the possiblity of Hero of Kvatch becomign Shoegorath. The Last Dragonborn possibly becoming part of Talos or something. And Hagrid, I don't think the next game will be in Akavir. If it's Argonia or something, it could feature villains from Akavir or parts of Akavir as DLC or something.

For all we know the next ES could take place a few hundred years after Skyrim and the Dragonborn could be nothing more than a tale.

The current Sheogorath is also a valid possibility. He was the mortal who ended the Greymarch, which may or may not have been the CoC.

Or just a couple years like Morrowind and Oblivion.
