So cruising around today in my new Imperial I come across a player with a really offensive name imo. His name was n**gahater. I felt pretty offended by it and said in general chat I wonder if I should report it. I got attacked by a couple of players calling me a [censored], politically correct gay etc etc. Now part of me says "It's beta" and most of the cur will culled upon release. Another part of me saw nothing but hate and slander in general chat when people put something out there a bit out of the norm.

I know every game has it's asshats but I hope ESO isn't full of them.

Should be reported yes. Frankly I'm quite shocked that the game allowed the name to be entered. Guess they need to work on some filtering.

If it is offensive to you, report it. I doubt the Devs would like names like that. Those bashing you and making names like that are immature and will be put in their place when the game launches. Just place all of those deadbeats on your ignore list for now.

Report the name, report the people who attacked you with those inappropriate and hateful remarks. Much like in real life, you can't choose who you're here with, but you can choose who you surround yourself with. Find a few guilds of like minded, friendly people and be sure to block and report anyone spouting racist or otherwise offensive remarks.

Sadly we can't do much more than that.

I mean, yes, report it. It's a privately-run game, and the people who run it can decide what they'll allow; but make it known that you find this offensive.

I had to laugh because I am an older gamer. I am 46, married with a 9 year old and I have to laugh at these kids who get all fired up. I am sure once the monthly fee gets in place they will move along.

i doubt it. if the game is popular enough there could be whole guilds of a new generation of asshats
