This copy of windows must be activated with Microsoft before

Post » Wed May 05, 2010 9:23 pm

Windows is already Registered.

[censored].
NOTE: It is NOT a pirated, or stolen version, i have the CD right here, and i'll take the pictures if i have to. It's not pirated or anything, i seriously did lose the key... well... mum did.

Okay, about a month ago, I installed windows xp home edition. I lost the product key, and couldn't enter the key.
So i googled some product keys and entered one, it gave me a month trial. Which was fine, i thought i'd find a way to register it properly before the time ran out.
I downloaded the program that shows you what the key is that came with it, everytime i entered it, it said "unauthorized product key" i tried other ones, and it said they were invalid.
I tried to register through phone, it basically told me that the key is faulty and hung up.
I then downloaded another program that resisters it... and that's what activated it. but it still had the notification that said "windows must be activated in 2 days" i thought nothing of it.

And now, a few hours ago, i reset my computer and it says:

This copy of windows must be activated with Microsoft before you can log on.
Do you want to activate windows now?
[ YES ] [ NO ]

I click yes, then it says:

Windows is already Registered.

And brings me back to the log on page, and does the same thing over and over again, in a loop.
What do i do?

Problem: money doesn't grow on trees.

Blame: It wasn't my fault.

Solution: work and earn it.

Problem: Schizophrenia owns me.
Also, you think it's a matter of wanting to go out and earn it?

He did help.

If MS won't help you, then go earn some money and buy a new copy. It's not MS's fault, and it certainly is yours. You should always backup your CD keys. I have the sticker on my cases, then a file on a flash drive with them, and then a written backup. They're important. Keep them safe.
