I have been an Elder Scrolls fan since Oblivion first came out. I remember watching my older brother play Morrowind on his Xbox whenever I was little and I was fascinated by the game. Is Morrowind fun like Oblivion and Skyrim? I was told that it's actually better than both of them and that Morrowind has so much more to the game than Oblivion and Skyrim. How big is the game? Is Morrowind as big as Cyrodiil or Skyrim? I just really want to get into this game because I feel like I'm missing out on a lot.

Should I play this game? Absolutely. You can't miss out on this game.

Is Morrowind fun like Oblivion and Skyrim? Fun LIKE them? That's hard to ascertain. It's similar in that it's still an RPG, but there are enough differences that just because you enjoy Oblivion and/or Skyrim, you might not be able to get into Morrowind. But I think you will.

How big is the game? Morrowind is actually smaller than the later two titles. BUT, because of the default low view distance and the amount of hand-crafted world building the designers used on Morrowind, it can still feel like a large area. Take a look at http://i.imgur.com/B7rBN.jpg, it's quite interesting (and entertaining). You can see that Morrowind is ~9.3 sq. miles while Skyrim is ~14.5 sq. miles and Cyrodiil is ~22 sq. miles.

Hah, wow that's pretty cool. I think I'm going to try it in a minute here but I have one last question. Is there less stuff to do in Morrowind? Like for quests and stuff in comparison with Oblivion and Skyrim? I'm just curious.

Well, there's LOTS of stuff to do. Last time I counted, the base game + 2 expansions have circa 440 quests, all hand crafted (no repetitive radiant quests like in Skyrim).

One more thing to look at... There have been several similar threads here over the last few months, and a few of them have gotten pretty long. You should definitely read through a couple of them... there's all kinds of good advice and recommendations for new players in them.
