Slaughterfish.

There's no way of knowing when and where they'll strike. If they(ZOS) must keep this cheesy game mechanic in the game, at least make it less severe so people can turn around and go back. 9/10 times when I start getting bit, I'm already dead.

Or they could... you know... not block people from swimming. Crazy, I know.

It's not the fish themselves, it's the purpose they serve in this game. Their purpose being the death from leaving the map area. Other games do it with countdown timers, ESO does it with fish that [censored] you.

Usually, other games just leave an invisible wall so you can't go any further. So I can somewhat understand the frustration in a game that promotes exploration.

Not being able to group up for guild quests. And main story to a lesser extent. And random "hey, where did my group go" moments that are just baffling.
