how to make rabbits attack?

Post » Sun Mar 16, 2014 10:05 am

Hi you all,

I need to add Rabid Rabbits to my mod, for a novelty attack. But the damn things glare angrily at the Dovahkin but do not attack! I gave themthe attack data from the wisps and skeeves but nothing. Tried slaughterfish which was hilarious becasue the keep bobbing in and out of the earth. Any ideas?

I would be that they don't even have attack animations, which is why they won't do anything.

When is an rabbit an attack rabbit?
When it's a Skeever !
Switch out your rabbits for "custom" actors at the moment your want them to attack.
Use all the behavior and animations files for the Skeever but replace the art files with rabbit files.
I have not done this in Skyrim but I did this a lot in Oblivion. I bet the procedure is not impossible in skyrim.

If the player runs away, do we leave the skeevers remain or do we switch the rabbits back? I would have to script this. Could I instead copy the skeevers form and change the art to rabbit?

You would need to rig / skin the rabbit mesh to the skeleton of a skeever, which can be done in something like 3DS Max but it would take a fair amount of work.
