Lost interest in ESO - PvP as warrior is broken .

Post » Mon Mar 17, 2014 4:43 am

Basically pvp as a warrior is 2 things. Respawn, die. Respawn, die.

I chased a mage over half the map, i fired a stonefist which she outran... I had to chase her with the horse

while she was on her feet. Once i did get to her, she CC's me with 10 seconds and gets away.... she was 3 levels lower then me

and kept healing & healing & healing while me and a ranger chased her..

Then its the COMPLETE AND UTTER LACK OF WARRIOR DAMAGE. I've been instantly killed as a L20 warrior by 2 L11 rangers just

keeping me rooted, and slowed. Warriors doesn't have enough health or damage do be of any threat. I have tried both physical and

magic warrior, and both of them offers no damage compared to casters and rangers, that do their dmg from safe distance.

RISK VERSUS REWARD needs to be the ultimate balance in pvp.. Warriros currently always takes the biggest risks, but the reward

for playing a warrior is non-existant. Warriors has no healing, our platearmor offers nothing good compared to medium armor which

gives huge bonuses to both crit and crit-protection. You would think that platearmor offered better protection - but it doesn't.

Currently i have 11 points into stamina and 8 points into health. But a ranger or sorc will still nuke me to death before i

get a chance to retaliate.

In all mmo's. i only play warriors. I refuse to let bad class-developerment decide which class i should play. It's the developers

responsibility to offer a well balanced game imo.

Warriors are the frontline of war - but we aren't given the health to support it.

Warriors has the most restricted damagetype - melee - but we aren't given the damage to make up for it.

You do know every character gets CC break, right? Press opposite mouse button, while blocking.

Also, you get a gap closer, and CC of your own.

Every class can heal, as well. Once at level 15, you can carry two weapons, the second which can be a restoration staff.

Played a 'tank' class this weekend. Was awesome. Only died when I screwed up; taking on too many foes at once or forgetting to use my hotbar skills at the right time. Blocking and interupting are essential (and easy) moves to do.

You're not getting it... Warriors are suppose to be the frontline of warfare... swords and shields. But we don't have the health to support it,

everyone gets the SAME HEALTH per point invested in health. And considering how short range our damage is , the damage we do when

we finally gets in range , isn't making up for it.. simple as that.

A ranger and sorcerer will pump out a ton of damage from their safety of range. A warrior on the other hand, has no safety in range,

and still has much less damage.

Sounds like you are trying to play as a hp tank. That will not work in this game, you absolutely MUST use active block or you will be eaten alive just a tiny bit faster than a sorcerer would.

What are these "warriors" and "mages" you speak of?

Sounds like you're having playstyle issues. If you're having trouble in PvP, invest in skills that you need. For example, if you're a Dragonknight, why not get some kind of ability to draw ranged characters in close?

but woe betide them if they get close to the foe. Have you invested pts in Stamina? Maxed out wpns and armour with glyphs? Enhanced your duds? I can't believe your having so much trouble. Does the difficulty curve increase so much after lvl 10+?

No- you are not getting it. A DK can range if you want-use a bow or staff. DK have access to several gap closers. DK have possibly the most powerful spell in the game (the pull). If you want to have more health put points in there- you have 11 stam 8 health and are complaining about health? Ridiculous. DK also have several abilities to boost their armor, and have a class heal.

Also what you are "not-getting" is that the game is basically designed to let any class be "a warrior". A sorc can be a warrior- use sword/shield the damage mitigation spell and the speed spell- boom warrior. Same with nightblade.

It is totally weird to hear someone complain about DK considering how amazing that classes abilities are in pvp!

I have noticed a trend among your posts to bash the game as much as you can. May I suggest perhaps to move attention to another game? If everything about ESO makes you unhappy, it might not be the right game for you and would do yourself (and us) a favor by trying something else

im sorry are you crying that rang classes are safe at range LOL thats the point of a range class... just charge while blocking and dodge when needed once you get up close play whack a mole with there heads.. also use potions what ever needed to get up close... just so you know though range beats mele every time unless you take away there range. you also got to think that warriors are not supposed to be built to out DPS any class other then a HEALER warriors are made to take damage. yes you can build a warrior for DPS but no matter how you build them a Pure DPS class will always win in a damage contest... as a solo warrior your on the bottom of the pvp classes where you shine is in group pvp... pvp is not meant to be fair my friend

I personally haven't read your other posts, but what I can see here is that you have locked yourself into a specific ideal, which isn't a bad thing.....goferit. However, holding the stance on the "sword and board" tank and attempting to Tank in the traditional sense of the word...well...you are missing a huge factor: Traditional tanks have traditional healers behind them, a traditional tank is only viable in PVE as the npcs tend not to 'kite' you.

All you have done is explain scenarios where you are failing. Warriors have eaten me alive in PvP on my light armored folks, so yes....I will do everything I can to keep them away from me and I am even given skills to help me accomplish this! I have also had plenty of warrior types run me down, close the gap, snare me, root me, knock me down...etc etc etc, so they have the skills to counter it!

You are not utilizing your options, don't bail on it.....understand it. I don't see a traditional "tank" in ESO, I see builds that can fill the role from all the classes (some exceptionally better than others yes).

Anyways, I just feel YOU locked yourself into this ideal....not ESO.

Best Wishes.

Actually you correctly described the problem of your failure.

The game has it's own rules, but you say that "Warriors are suppose to be the frontline of warfare..." "let bad class-developerment decide which class i should play" and simply do not accept that you can use much more skills, so like in the war - you are defeated.

Also in every MMO the tank is front line, warriors are dps or short time tanks.

Sounds to me like he's one of those only stamina and weapon skills guys. If that's the case, this really isn't his game as you can't ignore half your potential and expect to beat someone using all of theirs.
