From what I hear if you play in the campaigns that aren't fully maxed out like the top one or 2 in the list then the lag is hardly there. Right now a lot of people like myself are purposely using those ones because we're supposed to stress the servers and hopefully help fix it before launch. Once the game launches I think you'll see people spreading out a little more in the campaigns so shouldn't lag so much.
Yet to see lag and PvP is all I have done for 3 days now.
I lagged to the point of seeing some guys and then being dead. But I'm in nz. It's only happened twice.
Server lag was MUCH worse in the last beta weekend with maxed out campaigns. I played in campaigns that were just 2/3 full per faction this time, and server lag did seem to drop a great deal. It was playable for me - this time.
I did a bunch of PVP and never got any lag at all.
In that top campaign I was getting 1-2 sec skill lag.. moved down the the 3rd or 4th campaign and it went away to the point I no longer noticed it all.
Doesn't mean it isn't an issue that needs to be fixed though.
That's what was happening to me slyfe, but during this last hour of beta the lag cleared up. So I don't know what is going on anymore.
ya me too dude, I've had huge but huge lags those ones when you press 1 and you see you character doing it hour later lol.
It is not my connection, it is not a FPS problem, it's the damn game.
It often gives me when I'm in a big zerg but I repeat, it isn't a FPS issue, when I'm in a smaller group it seems ok.
I saw some people lagging, but I suffered serious FPS problems in this beta.
It seemed like lag at times, but Im pretty sure it was all hardware.
There was the odd occasion when something would happen in pvp to cause my fps to drop to frame by frame but a quick relog cleared it up, only happened twice. The best part was killing someone while in that state haha.
If you are getting lag in pvp slices where the factions only have one bar, then the lag is due to your computer or your Internet connection.
If your fps is rock solid > 60 fps but you are having latency issues, it's your Internet connection to ESO's server. If you are on the U.S. server, do a traceroute (or tracert in Windows) to 198.20.198.110 or 198.20.200.xxx.
The U.S. server is still in Dallas, TX but ZOS switched to AT&T for some reason. The previous betas were with Level 3.
5 second delay on clicks at times, desync. I'll get every spell I cast happen all at once and people a zipping all over the place.
Its the same for me every mmo unless there is an Aus server
Just waiting for fibre to get to my street.. have been waiting awhile already though
