^^^This!

I was hardcoe early in EQ, and I have a ton of great memories, but if I think really hard about it, there was a LOT of wasted time. I have sworn off being hardcoe in any game now. If I can't end game as a casual player, I won't play. I'm sure lots of you EQ people hated me and my guild that as soon as the server spawned we would go around killing all the named and you would never so much as get 1 shot to try and learn how to take them down. Everything was contested. Or how about you sitting there for hours and I would port in as a Wizard because I had the named on a timer, out dps you and get the loot. I'm sure you all loved that.

If I remember right, that server still has a lot of fixes that were not in the game in 1999, because even THEY knew that some stuff had to stay changed. So, ya, it's nostalgia. If not, emulate it EXACTLY how it was.
